Myself

As a bilingual copywriter, how do you compete with translation software like Google Translate and Deepl?

You lean into what they do — laughably — badly. Namely, translating idioms. Because a literal translation of one can have real consequences, especially in Spanish.

Some of Spain’s most colorful idioms, translated just how you don’t want to see them.

And then, since I’ve lived in South America, I got a little international with my translations.

I brought the message to agencies, papering walls near their entrance and hitting them up on social.
